Hbee and Ice Prince Join Forces on Summer Single “Only One”
Emerging from Enugu, Nigeria – HBee has begun to covet the afrobeat genre for his own. Jackson Ekena Mba, known professionally as HBee, is noticeably making a name for himself as a genre-bender in the afro-genre. Hailing elements of afro-beats to afro-pop resulting in an afro-fusion; the young and emerging star is charming his audience with serenading ballads sung in the style of lilting afro-fusion anthems.
HBee made his debut on the continental scene with his eclectic EP Wickedest Vibe released end of 2020, seeing his single ‘Ejo’ attract the attention of fellow Nigerian artists Trendz and later Ice Prince.
Last week sees HBee drop his highly acclaimed single Only One featuring multi-award winning legend Ice Prince.
The “romantic anthem” sees the afro-fusion idiosyncrasies of Hbee partnered with Ice Prince’s falsetto afro-hip hop elements to create a African pop tapestry aptly expressing the professions over a muse. This timeless, catchy and driving “groovy” single sees HBee working his way up in the afrobeat genre and spreading throughout the East African continent as a talented and innovative artist; a quality that will see him reach very high heights, and very soon.
