Muzi Pays Homage to Old School Kwaito with His Latest Release
Muzi, also known as the "Zulu Skywalker" is back to grace the world once again with new music. After his globally acclaimed single Interblaktic, Muzi is ready to release his next big single titled "Need Dat" featuring the rising duo called The Temple.
"Need Dat" released globally on June 3rd, and those expecting new music from Muzi would have been excited to find that this release would have been accompanied by another Clout Killed the Kids music video.
Muzi describes "Need dat" as an ode to South African Kwaito music which will get both young and old reminiscing on the dance floor. For Muzi, the journey from humbling beginnings in Empangeni to headlining festivals such as Rocking the Daisies and Afropunk Brooklyn festival has been an inspirational one.
Described as South African music’s golden boy, Muzi is ready to take the traditional kwaito sound and put his spin on it.
The video for "Need Dat" pays homage to traditional kwaito dance routines with a carefully crafted dance choreography. The visuals are carefully captured by Clout Killed the Kids and showcases the full kwaito experience.
