Indie-folk Nigerian Artist Tommy WÁ Releases Single “Gravity”
Tommy WÁ, formally known as Tommy Maverick, releases his latest song titled Gravity featuring The Isomers. Gravity is an otherworldly experience that guarantees listeners will travel through the lightness of space and the ‘Gravity’ of earth. Maverick explains that on a recent trip home to Nigeria, Gravity was penned down as a motion picture idea along with the collaboration Abuja-based indie rock band 'The Isomers'.
Sonically the music production of Gravity draws inspiration from Alt-J, Twenty One Pilots, and Bon Iver. The production balances light chimes and picked guitar strings with a densely rich bass rhythm serving as an anchor. Tommy WÁ has promised with each listen fans will continue to discover something new. As Tommy navigates the music scene for the 5th year he continues to grow as an artist and explore new genre-bending sounds. Gravity is a testament to that. The choral backgrounds and harmonies which are provided by The Isomers during the chorus draws the listener into the enchanting world created by Tommy WÁ, Isaac Isumanu, and Monlee.
